At DOVE (Development Organization for Voluntary Empowerment), we believe that every individual deserves to live with dignity and equal opportunity — regardless of their circumstances. Through our Support for Widows & Children with Disabilities program, we are committed to improving the lives of some of the most vulnerable sections of society by providing care, protection, empowerment, and respect.

🌿 Why This Program Matters

In many parts of India, widows and children with physical or mental challenges are marginalized — often left without support systems, excluded from society, and denied basic rights. Poverty, social stigma, and lack of access to education or healthcare make their situations even more dire.

DOVE aims to change that. We strive to create a world where they are not just supported but are included, valued, and empowered to live full lives.

🤝 What We Do

  • Financial Assistance:
    We provide monthly financial support to destitute widows and families of children with disabilities to help them cover basic needs, healthcare, and education.

  • Skill Training & Livelihood Programs:
    Widows are offered vocational training (such as tailoring, handicrafts, and food processing) that allows them to regain confidence and become self-reliant.

  • Inclusive Education & Therapy:
    We help children with disabilities access inclusive schools and offer physical therapy, speech therapy, and special education support in partnership with local centers.

  • Health Camps & Counseling:
    Regular medical checkups and mental health counseling are arranged for both widows and children, ensuring physical and emotional well-being.

  • Advocacy & Awareness:
    We conduct awareness drives to fight social stigma and create inclusive communities that embrace diversity and compassion.

  • More than 150 children with disabilities linked to therapy centers and inclusive education.
